Efficient Clustering Methods for Mining DNA Microarray Data

Abstract

 

        DNA microarray techniques enable the possibility of examining the expressions of thousands of genes in a single experiment. An important bioinformatic issue underlying microarray applications is the capability of analyzing and interpreting the obtained gene expression data. This talk is aimed at introducing the main research problems in microarray data analysis. In particular, some efficient clustering methods will be described for mining gene expressions under multi-conditions microarray experiments. Both considerations of the quality and performance of the mining methods will be explored.
